Chapter 1 The
exciting News
When Annie Jensta went to the cupboard of her caravan
for breakfast, Mum and Dad were squealing with happiness, Annie wandered over to
where they were squealing and said,” Whats going on?”, Mum held her breath to
stop herself from squealing and said”, Dad’s Boss felt very sorry for sacking
him, but he didn’t give him his job back.
He gave him a new job!!!”.
Annie smiled brightly, but didn’t squeal like her
parents did, in fact, she felt a bit sad.
When Annie went
to the school van, she told her best friend Georgia every single thing her parents told Annie herself. “ Maybe they’ll
change their minds, and we can still be best friends”,Georgia said , giving her
a toothy smile, Annie just shrugged and said,” I don’t think there’s much of a
chance of that,” “Really?”, said Georgia,
looking a bit sad, ”Yeah. Probably. Ever since Dad had lost his job, he had
dreams of himself getting his job back,” Annie continued, looking down at her
shoes. The bell rang before neither of them had been able to continue their
conversation, they both linked arms, and walked towards the big van.
Their teacher,
Miss. Clare saw both of them with sad faces and said” Why the long faces?”,
”Oh, nothing Miss. Clare”, they both chorused, giving her toothy smiles.
Miss.Clare, had began teaching them fractions, when suddenly, with no warning, a
dog ran into the classroom. Miss. Clare looked horrified, some children grinned
and some screamed. Georgia grabbed Annie and dragged her towards the some
children were already pressing their faces against the huge window,a few cats
were trying to get in! Suddenly Miss.Clare snapped back to attention and said”,
Children, this isn’t funny!!!”.
But it was too
late!! The children had run out through the door back to their vans, all except
for Annie and Georgia, who were very calm. “Thank you Annie, Georgia”, Miss.
Clare said, “Class dismissed! You can go play now”. For once, Annie felt sad to
go back home, because the sooner she went home,the sooner she would go back to
Burrow town and her big mansion.
Chapter 2 Packing Time!!!
Saturday night was the night Annie and her parents
would move back to their mansion in Burrow town, Annie and her family lived in
a block. You’d probably think Annie was a show off, right? Well, NO. Even
though Annie had a mansion her own bathroom and all that kind of stuff, she wasn’t mean or selfish, she was kind and
loved to help. Annie sat up in her little room and stared at the photos of her
and Georgia. Georgia was the first person to greet her and treat her nicely when
Annie had arrived.
Annie grinned,
then went to the television room and saw her mum ironing some of their clothes. Annie
said,’Mum, aren’t we taking the caravan?”.”Sorry, Hun, we aren’t”, Mum replied,
Annie was horrified”What will happen to our caravan then?”she asked sadly, “We
will sell it,” her mum replied sternly. “Oh”, Annie said, then went back to her
room. This time to get packing.
In the morning, Georgia raced towards the kitchen to
have breakfast, wrote a note saying she went to school early, and left. Holly
was already spreading gossip about Annie moving and half the school van knew
about it. George went over to Annie and Georgia,”is it true that, you, Annie,
are going to leave School?”, he asked with a worried look on his face.”No.Yes.
Maybe. Argh!! I dunno! Stop askin’ anyway George,” Annie replied both sad and
angry with frustration. After school, Annie gathered Greg and Georgia to the
milk bar to discuss some things. “Can we please please ,please get a
milkshake?” Greg pleaded greedily with a dog eye expression on his face. ”No!!!
We are absolutely NOT here to eat we are here to DISCUSS!”, Annie said for the
fifth time. ”Just be quiet, George,”Georgia whispered while Annie had her back
turned ”,Annie’s a bit, y’know,... frustrated, just be quiet and she might give
you a milkshake, ok”. George just nodded grumpily. That night, after ‘the
discussion’ Annie lay in bed and sighed, the discussion that afternoon had been
very difficult because George kept begging for a milkshake and Georgia telling
him to stop.
Chapter 3 Trying to stop
It was morning. Annie didn’t have any time to convince
her parents not to move to Burrow town.”Hurry up, Annie!!”, mum called from the
kitchen, ”Ok mum!”, Annie called from her room. Annie glanced at the pile of
things in two suitcases and took a deep breath, she looked at her Diary, which
was open to the page of her worries.
Mum quietly
slipped into Annie’s tiny room and said ”It’s OK Hun, everything’s gonna be
alright”, and sat down beside her and put her arms round her shoulders.
On Annie’s last day of school, Annie was very nervous.
“Today, our classmate Annie Jensta is, em, moving, to
Burrow town, and I expect you all to be very nice to her today, children,” Mrs.
Clare said to the class. “ Yes, Mrs. Cla-are”, the children chorused boredly.
At recess, Annie,
Georgia and George were sitting on the side of the oval to plan a way for Annie
not to leave. Georgia held a purple clipboard filled with paper and said ”does,
anyone have any ideas?,” “No. Not yet”, Annie said. We only have a few more
hours!!”, Georgia said desperately, “Today lets not meet at the milky bar and meet in the park”,Annie said staring
at George with an angry expression.”Bu but how ‘bout the milky bar! I still
did’nt get ice-cream on yesterday’s meeting!”, George protested wildly.
”George!! Can you think of anyone else other then....YOURSELF!!” Georgia
shouted. “Yes. I can!”, George replied angrily, then, stormed off. “Sorry Annie,
I really did it this time didn’t I?”, Georgia said, trying to hold back her tears.”No”,
Annie replied, trying to cheer Georgia up ”It was good of you to stand up for
George and his ice-cream fan club”, Annie continued looking down at her shoes.
The bell rang and the both of them ran along back to
class.
Chapter 4 Saying Goodbye
Annie put on her My BFF T-SHIRT and tracksuit
pants,the BFF T-SHIRT was a gift from Georgia on Annie’s B-day.It was Saturday and that was the day they were moving.
Georgia and a few people gave them gifts on school days.
Annie sat in the living room waiting for guests to
arrive, Georgia came first and gave Annie a BFF’s bracelet, a diary, a CD of
their favourite moments and a diary filled with Georgia’s phone number and
things like that.
George came and gave Annie photo of the three of them
at the beach on the holidays and a guitar with his phone number and stuff on
it. Miss. Clare gave her a book with a photo of the class, a recorder and shell
necklace then went over to Annie’s mum and a group of her friends to drink
coffee and chat.
Holly gave her signature and a packet of earrings to Annie.
Annie’s favourite was a cherry one.
She gave
everyone the same gift (all except for George and Georgia): a book with her
email and stuff and a hat Annie made on the holidays.
Georgia got a
pair of thongs the things everyone else got and CD of them on the holidays.
George got a voucher for five free ice-creams at “Ice-cream world”, the things
everyone else got and an ice cream recipe book.
“Mum, are we using the car to move”, Annie
asked,”yes”, her mum replied.
When everyone got a chance to do a speech or poem about
how great it was to have Annie and her family Georgia went first. ”Annie Jensta,has,
worked hard to make the world a better place and she made a perfect BFF for me,
Georgia Harriott. She has helped us and had a hard life. Her parents have tried
their best to make everybody appreciate each other,” Georgia said.
“Thank you”Annie
and her family said.
Everybody applauded and when everyone finished their speeches George
whispered something in Annie’s dad’s ear and walked to the front of the crowd.
”I am sorry for being greedy when one of my BFF’s Annie Jensta was moving and I
hope you Jenstas accept my apology.Have lots of fun!!,”George said.
Everyone was leaving and Annie,
George and Georgia had a group hug. ”Best wishes for our BFF, Annie Jensta!!”, Georgia
and George said. The three of them were crying and had one last hug and
said “goodbye Emmie!!”.
Chapter 5 The Trip to Town
Annie clicked her seat belt on. They were going on their van and left
the caravan. Annie wriggled a lot on the trip. That was to get comfy.
The sun shone in front of the
front window a lot and it felt as though the sun was shinning right through it.
Annie opened the window and saw the cows in the green meadows, softly munching
on the fresh grass filled of morning dew.
Soon she would not see the beautiful view again. All she would see
would be doing was sitting on the balcony of her mansion, imagining herself
adventuring the forest with George and Georgia. Annie looked at the photo of
the three of them when they were five, Annie had already began to miss George
and Georgia! “Are we there yet!”, she called. “Nearly! Just a few more hours”,
her mum replied. Only!!! A few more hours isn’t only!!! Why do I
even have to go? Annie thought
angrily.
It was night when they arrived. Annie
slept in the car mum and dad did too. But before she slept she wrote in
her diary.
Dear diary,
today we had to move to Burrow town. I sure am gonna miss
George 'n' Emily!!! The trip to Town was very long.

Annie held the teddy bear Georgia and George made her and fell asleep.
Chapter 5 Decorating!!!
Annie yawned and stretched out like a starfish.
Mum and dad were getting paint and stood in line at a
painting shop. Annie hadn’t been here since she was four and decided to wander
round. But when she went outside she saw a boy with blond hair and girl with pretty brown locks hanging from
her head about her age. “Hi!!”, Annie said. “ Hi!”, the boy and girl said.
“What’s your name?”, the boy asked. “ My name is Annie Jensta”, Annie said ”I’ve
been here four years ago”. “ My names Chris Anderson and this is Allie
Jefreys”, the boy said grinning. Allie gave a shy wave. “How old are you two?”,
Annie asked. “I’m eight Allie’s seen turning
eight”, Chris said. “And I’m eight!,”said Annie. “Lets go explore,” Chris said
and they were off! Allie started being less shy and Chris and her told Annie
where the:
· Supermarket was
· Salon was
· Restaurant was
And lots more places.
When
they finished, Allie suggested they go to the restaurant and said that Chris
should pay for them. Chris just groaned but payed for the three ice-creams.
Allie had Strawberry, Chris had Chocolate and Annie had Cookies and Cream.
After that they introduced the neighbours to Annie. Annie came back to the van
with a wide grin spread on her face. “Our little girl has been exploring
right?”, dad asked happily. “She looks like she met some new friends too”, mum said with a grin.
“Yes!!”, Annie said happily “I met a girl and a boy, the boy is called Chris
Anderson and the girl is Allie Jefreys. I got free ice-cream too!!”, Annie
continued. Her parents just smiled and said when Annie ran off “Our girl is
just so friendly, isn’t she?”, and both nodded.
Annie went to lots of shops with her parents
and this is what she buyed for her room:
· Aqua-blue and dark-blue patterned wallpaper
· A purple night light
· A green and orange rug
· A cream coloured clock
· A table for homework
· Dressing table
She
buyed lots of extra things too:
She went to the school shop with
her parents and bought:
· A pair of Black socks
· A bright blue and red school sweater
· A purple pencil case (she chose that)
· Coloured pencils
· 2 packs of pencils
· 8 glue sticks
· 4 bright red and blue school shirts
· 4 bright red and blue school tracksuit pants
· 1bright red and blue hat
Chapter 6 New school
Annie’s parents went
to Allie’s house and asked about Annie’s new school. The school was called
Bella st primary school and Annie was going in the same class as Allie and
Chris.
“This is the way to
school”, Allie said as they walked through the park. Chris ran through a puddle
while Annie jumped over it and Allie just avoided it. “Do you wanna be our best
friend?”, Allie said suddenly. Annie already forgot about Georgia and George and said ”Sure. Why not”. Annie
trailed behind Chris and Allie. There were a lot of kids in the school. Her
teacher was Miss. Jenavie. “This is a new classmate, her name is Annie Jensta.
Who would like to be Annie’s playmate?”Miss.Jenavie said. A sea of hand shot
from the group of desks. Chris and Allie were so fast that Miss.Jenavie chose
both of them. Annie shifted uncomfortably in her seat. She had
the-in-a-new-school-and-I’m-shy feeling.
At lunch, Chris and
Allie were showing Annie around. They stopped at the toilets when Allie needed
to brush her long blond hair. When she finished Annie asked them if they wanted
to have a running race. “Sure”, Chris said eagerly, “Sorry I’m real slow Em’s”,
Allie said ”I’ll cheer for Annie because she doesn’t know much people”. Chris
bumped into a group of his boy mates and introduced them to her. “This is Kit”,
Chris said ”Kit, Annie,Annie, Kit. Kit was a tall boy with dark brown hair and
wore a school sweater and shorts while Annie was wearing a school t-shirt with
a jumper and tracksuit pants. ”Bet I’m better than you!!”, Kit said. “Really?”,
Annie asked pretending to be worried even though she knew she wasn’t. “Sure!!”,
Kit said. Chris told them the route and said ”You will race from each toilet, Kit
you get boy’s ‘n’ Annie you get the girls” he said ”you will race round the
oval, through the handball court and back to the toilets where your second
member will wait for you. You will high five your teamate”Chris continued
strictly. He added behind his back loudly an and clearly: ”And absolutely, NO
CHEATING!!!”.
Chapter 7 The Race
Annie walked to the bubblers to have a short drink while Kit took a long slurp. I know Kit will
stop at the toilets!! Annie thought but she knew she wasn’t aloud to tell Kit.
She walked back to the toilets but Kit just sprinted. Kit sure doesn’t know
much about racing Annie thought. ”I’m gonna beat yer up!”, Kit shouted. “Sure”,
Annie said and rolled her eyes. ”Ready!! Set!! Gooo!!!”, Chris said and waved
his arms up and down. Annie ran out of the toilets and slowly ran through the
oval. Meanwhile, Kit was busting! He ran to the toilets and came out when Annie
reached the handball courts. Kit knew he had a heap of catching up to do so ran
madly out of the toilet. Annie then saw Kit puffing and panting. He saw Annie
and ran as fast as he could. Annie still had lots of energy and ran ahead of Kit,
ran to the toilets and high-fived Allie, she handed Annie a drink and said ”You
won! You beat Kit Manchester!! OMG!! Guys, Annie beat Kit Manchester!!”.
A group
of boys and girls walked towards Annie, screaming and shaking hands with her. A
few yr 2’s and 3’s even asked for her autograph, Annie had become popular. Annie
walked back to school and asked Chris and Allie why they had been so proud of Annie
when she beat Kit Manchester. “Thats because Kit’s the best runner in the whole
prep to yr 5 record. You are officially famous my friend”, Allie said. “Even I
couldn’t beat him”, Chris said shyly. “What?! That guy? He doesn’t even know
that you can’t drink too much when your about to race and more!!”, Annie
exclaimed. They kept talking and had slushies and sweets at the restaurant and
this time they all payed.
Annie said bye to
her pals and set off home. She was going to decorate her room with dad.
"Hi Emmie dear!!”,
her mum said ”why do you look so happy? Did something awesome happen?”. “No
mum!”, Annie replied ”I just beat a guy called Kit Manchester. And before you
ask me he isn’t some random guy he is the BEST RUNNER IN THE PREP TO YR 5
SCHOOL RECORD!!”. “Why how lucky you are!!”, her mum said “now why don’t you
run along to your new room, your fathers waiting for you”, she picked up a
dirty plate from the sink and washed.
Annie walked to her new room and saw dad
holding a bucket of wallpaper glue and two big brushes. The aqua blue and dark
blue roll of wallpaper was leaning against the wall. The purple night light was
still in its box and the other stuff were lying around. Dad was wearing an
apron and a white cap, next to him were a pile of the same things he was
wearing, only, they were smaller. He had a wide grin spread on his face and his
black hair was very messy. Annie guessed it was because of all the glue and
paint and mess. “Lets begin!”, dad said. Annie put on the white apron and cap
and began putting glue on the bare walls of the mansion. When they finished,
mum came up with a tray of lemonade and cookies for afternoon tea. The two of
them sat on folding chairs and munched on the cookies and slurping the juicy
lemonade. When they finished all the wallpaper business they started on the furniture. She washed her hands and
she and her dad put the pillow cases on, then the bed cover. She and her dad
worked hard and finished on Friday morning and admired the work they had done.
The big beautiful bed was blue and had Annie’s toys piled on it. The dressing
table had the grape scented Grape scented cologne on it. Her homework table had
her diary on it and this is what it said inside:
Dear diary,
today I
played with Allie and Chris and I became the fastest runner from preps to yr 5!
lots of people shook my hand and asked for my autographs too!! It is awesome
here!!
Back where Georgia and George lived Georgia was busy writing a letter
to Annie:
Dear Emma,
I hope you
reply this letter because me and George really really wanna know. I hope you
are still my BFF! Did you meet anybody? Is your room big?

your BFF!
Georgia put a little
locket in it and sent it. Annie read the letter and remembered something: that
she was best friends with Allie and Chris!! Georgia’s letter said something
that made it even worse!
PS my parents said I can visit your
place on
Saturday! See you on Sat! George
is coming too!
Annie didn’t know
what the problem was but Allie and Chris were
also coming to Annie’s place on Saturday!!! On Saturday Chris and Allie and
George and Georgia were coming to Annie’s house for a sleepover!
George knocked at the door, standing in front
of Georgia. Annie opened the door and said hi. George went to the T.V. room
with Georgia and Chris and Allie arrived! ”Hi guys,” Annie whispered. “Hi!!”,
Chris and Allie screamed. “Can I go to the T.V. room?”, Chris asked, but he
didn’t wait for an answer and left. There was a long uncomfortable silence. Annie
went to the T.V. room and saw Georgia staring at Allie and Allie staring at Georgia
and George staring at Chris, and Chris staring at George! “I can explain!”,Annie
began. “Why is she here?!”, Georgia shouted.
“No why is she here!”, screamed Allie.
The same argument
happened with George and Chris. “Do you and Georgia know each other?”, Annie
asked.
“NO”, they both
said. Annie explained everything and they all seemed to get along. Except they
were beginning to leave her out. Annie decided to tell them what was wrong. “You
guys are leaving me out a bit”, Annie said ”If you wanna all be friends you
can’t leave anybody out and I feel left out. “Sorry”, they all said. “lets
watch a movie!”, Annie suggested when they were leaving her out again. “ok”,
they all said and went to the other side of Annie’s room and waited. The T.V.
was humongous!! Annie’s friends were getting along. They all liked different
things. They had three things to vote for:
· Hannah and her Kitty Jessa
· Mr. Lee and Mrs.Lee
· Soccer and fun
Annie, Allie
and Chris voted for Hannah and her Kitty Jessa. George voted for Soccer and
fun, while Georgia voted for Mr. Lee and Mrs. Lee. ”The movie we will watch
is.... drum roll please...bumbumbumbum..Hannah and her Kitty Jessa!!!”, Chris
said. The four raced downstairs towards the kitchen and picked their own
snacks. Annie made a big paper bag of popcorn, Chris got out apple juice, Allie
got a strawberry smoothie, George got a bag of potato chips and Georgia got a
bag of chocolate chip cookies. After the movie, everyone slept in Annie’s bed.
The girls on one side the boys the other. They all couldn’t get to sleep so
told each other spooky stories.
In the morning,
George and Georgia said goodbye, and their parents told Annie’s parents that
they were moving into Burrow town and were going back home to get packing.
Chapter 8 Fun
Arrives!!
That morning, Annie
sat at the ice-cream parlour with Chris and Allie. They were planning to have a
party. Annie, Allie and Chris stopped licking their ice-creams and listened to
a van and familiar voices ahead. Annie ran as fast as she could and hugged Georgia
and George. Her mum said they were staying in their house for a few years and that her room was going to be divided into three because it was so big. Annie
took Georgia ‘n’ George on a tour around the house. They began dividing the room and each got one big bed like Annie.
George changed his wallpaper colour to orange and green and Georgia changed
hers to pink and purple. They invited Chris and Allie to play and they explored
Burrow forest.
It was fun having Georgia and George with Annie everyday that
they began to feel like brothers and sisters! They came to the same class and
had dinner at the same places. They built a cubbyhouse together in Annie’s yard
and it had something special scratched in it: Annie, George and Georgia
BFF’s forever! They always played
together and saved money together. George loved going to the ice-cream parlour
and his parents also loved ice-cream they even made their own ice-cream parlour
called: George, Georgia and Annie’s magic ice-cream parlour! George ,Georgia
and Annie were the people that invited everybody over for the grand opening
where they gave out free ice-creams! “Hmmm”, Annie said, digging into her
cookies and cream, this is better than the one at the ice-cream delight
parlour!”, Annie started munching on her cone. “De-licious!”, George agreed
with a mouthful of cone “Thanks for the ice-cream recipe book, it gave mum and
dad new ideas and dad even said I might get a Ds!”, George licked his lips and
fingers looking for leftover ice-cream. Allie and Chris rushed in and ordered
the yummy ice-cream.
George had even made vouchers and gave Allie and Chris
five each. “Yum!!”, Allie exclaimed licking her teeth. “More like
scrumptious!!”, Allie teased. “Mum said we could have an ice-cream
fight”,George said from behind the counter. “Yahooo!!”, everyone said and began
throwing ice-cream at each other. “This is the best day everrr!!”, Allie
screeched.
